Kids born today are expected to have a shorter life expectancy
than their parents due to inactivity and diet.
Executive Summary: A recent study has shown that 37%
of children examined were overweight, with that percentage expected to
rise. The study was conducted in Houston, which is the fourth largest
school district in the U.S. Children who are overweight are more likely
to have heart disease, diabetes, and other serious health problems. Because
of this, the study indicates that today's children have a shorter life
expectancy than their parents due to inactivity and diet.
