Robbie Rotten (The Villain) Every hero needs a good villain, and Sportacus has a doozy in Robbie Rotten. When Robbie and Sportacus were kids, Robbie’s laziness made him the most popular boy in town, while Sportacus (who was known as Alex back then) was seen as a little bit of an oddball because of his healthy ways. Now that they’re grown-ups, Robbie (or Mr. Rotten to you) can’t believe that Sportacus is considered cool by the LazyTown kids, especially since Sportacus is a horrible example of what it takes to be a LazyTowner! Robbie eats chocolate cake for dinner, motors around in a stinky, smoke belching techno-walker, and he never, ever exercises! He’s the quintessential LazyTown citizen. So why don’t those little squirts admire and praise him, the stupendous Robbie Rotten?

The only thing that can tear Robbie away from snacking and TV is a new, nasty scheme to embarrass his sworn nemesis, Sportacus! His most passionate desire is to burst Sportacus’s balloon, both figuratively and literally.

A master of disguises (well, at least he can fool our hero), Mr. Rotten is constantly luring our guileless hero into another nefarious trap designed to make Sportacus the laughingstock of LazyTown. But, somehow, Robbie’s “brilliant” plans always fail, thanks to Sportacus’s amazing athletic abilities and quick mind — plus the help of those darn kids! Sometimes, horror of horrors, Sportacus even congratulates Robbie afterwards on a clever scheme! I mean, that guy doesn’t even know how to act like an enemy!

Just as Sportacus is tempted by junk food and leisure activi-ties, Robbie is secretly tempted by Sportacus’s healthy life-style. But no matter how strong his curiosity, Robbie Rotten inevitably utters his buzz-phrase, “Aw, why bother!”
